Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1Acceptance of Terms

Use of YAPlayer implies full acceptance of these terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.

2Service Description

YAPlayer is a media playlist management application for Samsung (Tizen) and Android TV. It allows organizing personal playlists with a multi-user profile system protected by PIN code.

3Account and License

Every new user gets a 10-day free trial, no credit card required. After the trial, access to the service requires a one-off license purchase of €7 including tax, valid for 12 months. The license is linked to your TV device MAC address. Each account can manage up to 5 user profiles.

4Seller and Billing

YAPlayer licenses are sold through Polar Software, Inc., acting as reseller and Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, your sales contract is concluded with Polar: Polar collects the payment, charges the VAT applicable in your country and issues your invoice. Polar's purchase terms apply to the transaction, in addition to these terms which govern your use of the software. The €7 price is inclusive of all taxes.

5Content and Liability

YAPlayer does not provide or host any audiovisual content or stream source. The user is solely responsible for the playlists they import and their compliance with applicable law. YAPlayer reserves the right to suspend any account using the service for illegal purposes.

6End of License and Refunds

Access to YAPlayer is valid for 12 months from the license purchase date, with no automatic renewal and no recurring charge: a new purchase is required to extend access upon expiry. The 10-day free trial lets you test the service risk-free. Withdrawal and refund conditions, along with the procedure to follow, are set out in our refund policy.

7Personal, non-commercial use

YAPlayer is intended for strictly personal, non-commercial use within your household, to manage your own playlists. Any commercial exploitation, resale of licenses, public distribution of the service, or professional use is not covered by the standard license and requires prior agreement with YAPlayer.

8Warranties and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of error-free or uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, YAPlayer shall not be liable for indirect damages (data loss, service interruption, hardware incompatibility) arising from use of the service. This limitation does not apply to personal injury resulting from our proven negligence.

9Changes to these terms

YAPlayer reserves the right to modify these terms of use at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial change via the site. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
